Kate Burt

Kate Burt is a features journalist and editor, currently part of the editorial team at a cool, global interiors, renovation and design website, where she writes and commissions stories on everything you could ever want to know to redesign your house. Interiors-obsessed, in her previous life as a freelance journalist Kate wrote a weekly DIY and design column ‘The Insider’ in the Independent on Sunday’s New Review magazine, where she was also a commissioning editor, and writes the similarly-themed blog Yourhomeislovely.com and Instagrams about nice-looking home stuff (and her two Jack Russells) @yourhomeislovely.
Aside from that, she’s written for all sorts – from the Guardian, the Telegraph and the Times, to Cosmopolitan and the Crufts Magazine. Over the years the topics she’s covered have ranged from Muslim gangs in Brixton to the murky side of Neuro Linguistic Programming, the (surprisingly gripping) history of landfill, the Femidom’s unlikely fanbase in certain parts of Africa, erotic autobiographies, old-man pubs and bizarre one-man bands.
