Patrick trained as an actor at the Weber Douglas Academy. He subsequently worked as both actor and director, largely in the classical repertoire.
In 1993, he wrote his first stage play WHAT’S WRONG WITH ANGRY? and its impact and success launched his professional writing career.
His first feature film GET REAL won the Edinburgh Film Festival Audience Award, the Dinard Jury Prize and Audience Award, the Sydney Mardis Gras Festival Best Film Award and was a selection at Sundance.
Patrick became a sought after writer for TV flagships such as EASTENDERS and CASUALTY, but was also part of ground breaking series such as THIS LIFE and AS IF.
He continues to write for TV, but also pursues his theatre career both as a director and writer.
